He married Anne Foley. They had 7 children. After emigrating from Ireland to Ontario, Michael moved in his early 20's to Virginia USA. At some point he changed the spelling of his name.He is buried in Mount Calvary cemetery, Richmond Virginia.
He was a contractor, who died of construction accident when he was 45.
