The first definately established ancestor of this family, sub-rector or
Brancepeth, Northumberland County, England, was born about 1615-20. It is
believed that he lived in France in 1657 or earlier and that his wife,
Thomasine was French. He died at Brancepeth, England around 1687. Thomasine,
surname not found, was born about 1620 and died in 1706, age 86. She moved to
Newcastle following her husband's death, perhaps to be near her son, Deodatus I.
