Per the descendant of Magdalena Goettsch' sister, Margaretha, who is Brigitte Boeckel, Catharina S (?) was Hans Goettsch' first wife, and they had no children. Noted on family tree provided me by Brigitte Boeckel on my visit to Schoenberg, May 15, 2003.

[Her parents and grandparents are named, and it is noted that her only brother has already died childless. Following this, 9 heirs living in Schoenberg are noted. Heinrich Lange's family tree notes Otto as "missing." Other family accounts say he was a sailor and lost at sea.

Per Anna Goettsch's letter of Dec. 16, 1903, Triene inherited the house of her mother, Antje Haas Goettsch. She sold it to a Heinrich (no last name) and went to Avoca, Iowa with Lena Goettsch Lueth. She lived with the Lueths.
Trien never married, according to Brigitte Boeckel's family tree.

Notes for Antje Göttsch:
In her letter of 1893, to Adam Goettsch, Anna Goettsch mentions that Antje and Hans Arp are living near Silk Goettsch in Walnut, Iowa. She says: "She (Silk) is all right now. I was there 3 weeks ago. I rode out with Hans when he brought Henry and I stayed 4 days."

Per Brigitte Boeckel's family tree, notation on Peter says: left Schleswig-Holstein, went to Walnut, Iowa.

In her letter to her nephew, Edward Goettsch, dated Nov. 3, 1911, Anna Goettsch says: Uncle Peter died 1892 the 30 Jan. He was 80 years old and Aunt Silk died 19 March 190- [last digit missing, but must be1907]. She was 86 years old. They both are buried in the Avoca Cemetery.

In her letter of Nov. 3, 1911 to Edward Goettsch, Anna Goettsch says: "Cousin Henry (Heinrich Goettsch of Walnut, Iowa) lives near Walnut, Iowa....His only sister, Lena, is married to Hans Peters and lives also on the farm near Walnut."
