OBITUARY: Maurine Creed Parry, 92, of Edna, TX, died there at 5:55 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, 1995. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home will conduct services at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, in the Old Denton Cementery in Roxton with the Rev. Jerry Moore officiating. The family will be at thier residence. Mrs. Parry was born Aug. 19, 1903 in the Noble community of Lamar County, a daughter of Answell Alexander and Viola (Ingram) Creed. She attended schools in Roxton and served in the Army during World War II. On Jun 16, 1957, she Married Truman Parry in Cooper. He died in 1967. She was a member of thev Church of Christ and was a retired elementary school teacher. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Ivan (Viola Katherine) Fenner of Edna and Mrs Genevieve Ally of Corpus Christi; a brother and sister-in-law, Ingram and Katherine Creed of Roxton; nieces and nephews, including Todd and Vivian (Creed) Dishman and Auswell Creed, All of Paris; the Joe Alley family of Corpus Christi, and David Lancaster of The Woodlands; and a niece by marriage, Allie Mae Ingram of Roxton. She was preceded in death by her parents, herhusband; a brother and sister-in-law, J.V. and Katherine Creed; a brother, Lawrence Creed; a sister, Mackey Gregg, and a brothero-in-law, Portterwood Alley.'
