2. CHARLES³ DODSON (WILLIAM², CHARLES¹) was born Abt. 1772 in Granville Co., North Carolina, and died 1802-1803 in Granville Co., North Carolina. He married LUCY DODSON August 15, 1801 in Granville Co., North Carolina, daughter of CHARLES DODSON and ELIZABETH (POINDEXTER)?.

Notes for CHARLES DODSON:
CHARLES DODSON was the son of WILLIAM DODSON and his wife, FRANCES GILLIAM. He married his cousin, LUCY DODSON, the daughter of CHARLES DODSON and his wife, ELIZABETH (Poindexter?). He died 1802/1803. The next mention of this family was a sheriff sale of Charles' land where Lucy and her young son, Daniel, lived for money owed to James & Henry Lyne on November 11, 1814 (Deed Book W, Page 267, Granville Co., NC. deeds). This land was purchased by Stephen Dodson, brother of Lucy Dodson. A later deed, when Stephen sold the land, denotes Charles as being his brother but it is felt he was a brother-in-law. No mention is ever found of Lucy Dodson or her son, Daniel.

3. FRANCES³ DODSON (WILLIAM², CHARLES¹) was born March 05, 1774 in Granville Co., North Carolina, and died November 02, 1852 in Woodbury, Tennessee. She married WILLIAM TURNER December 30, 1791 in Granville Co., North Carolina.
