Obituary of Mrs. Elizabeth Hale, from Greensboro Patriot, Guilford Co, NC Newspaper.Dated 24 August 1860.
DIED -On Friday 13th July, at Marshfield, Mo., Mrs. Elizabeth Hale, wife of A.J. Hale, aged 30 years.
Until a few months ago Mrs. Hale had been a resident of Asheborough, N.C.Having left her many friends there, she had gone to seek a home in Missouri, but had just reached it when she was taken sick and died after a painful illness of ten days.
As her life had been one of Christian virtue, so was hers a glorious death; happy in the confidence of her repentance in Christ, she died without fear and with no regret but at being separated from her husband and children.
At the tender age of fourteen years she gave her heart to God and devoted her life to his Service, and was ever afterwards a consistent member of the M.E. Church.She never forgot the vows then taken - as a mother, a wife and a friend she discharged her duties in prayer for Devine aid and in hope of Divine acceptance.
"Death is another life: to her a life of bliss in Heaven, the eternal reward for her Godly work on earth - Her friends mourn her loss here; the Angels rejoice with her in Heaven."
