My lines of research include Simon Bradstreet // Anne Dudley. Simon and Anne arrived in Massachusetts in 1630 on the ship Arbella in the company of John Wintrop along with Anne's father, Thomas Dudley. Thomas was both Deputy Governor and Governor of the colony. Simon served as an Assistant on the General Court, Deputy Governor, and twice as Governor of the colony. Thomas and Simon first located in Newtown, present day Cambridge. Latter Simon moved to Ipswich, Andover, and Salem. I am a 10th great-grandson of Thomas, and 9th great-grandson of Simon. Also, my research includes my Hall line which the work of many family members before me has traced back 5 generations to the early 1800's in South Carolina where it is currently stopped with Jehu Hall, b. about 1815 in SC, m. 2/12/1833 to (1) Jane Cockram/Cochren in Hall County, GA, (Jehu's name appears as Jahew on this record) and (2) Sarah Jane Jonas in Butler County, MO on July 18, 1858. Around 1860 he moved the family to Texas. Any help with locating the family of Jehu Hall is greatly appreciated by the descendents of Jehu.

By recovering my great-grandfather's civil war pension file, I have recently learned that his true name is Melvin Fox, son of David Fox and Mary Greene. My great-grandmother is Mary Jane Ratledge, daughter of James Franklin Ratledge and Elizabeth Anne Goins. These families are from eastern Tennessee.

Other lines include Braun/Brown, Smith, McSpadden, Lyle, Skelton, Dansby, Swan, Faris, Reagan, Kelsey, Gray and Stark. Lines on my wife's side include Cunningham, Patton, and Sternberg.

For HALL information read the text from the forward to the family record book that I have posted on this site.

On the 1850 Census I recently found my 5th gr-grandfather William B. Reagan living with Aaron and Rebecca (Reagan) Faris. William is the son of Thomas Reagan. Thomas served in the SC State Militia during the Revolution and fought with Thomas Sumter at Rocky Mount. I have added the transcriptions of his and Hannah's pension application files to this site.
