                George McKinsey Senr. affirms that in the year of our Lord AD 1781 he knew Thomas Reagan in Newberry county South Carolina, and that Thomas Reagan then and there was a Captain of a company, and exercised command as such, for more than six months, but what precise time he does not recollect. That he belonged to the "state troops" under the command of Colonel Philomon Waters; Major Jeremiah Williams & C.
