                                        On this thirteenth day of November in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and thirty nine personally appears before the Judge of the Probate Court in and for said County in __?__/ in an open court, Hannah Ragin a resident of the said county of Clinton and State aforesaid aged about Eighty four years / born in the year 1755 whom being first duly sworn in open court according to law

Doth on her oath make the following declaration in order to obtain the benefit of the provisions made by the acts of congress in relation to pensions,

That she is the widow of Thomas Ragin who was a private and captain in the army of the Revolution and who was at the time of his death a pensioner of the Federal Government at the rate of one hundred and eighty dollars a year.

She further declares she was married to the said Thomas Ragin on the twentieth day of September in year Seventeen hundred and Seventy five, that she and her husband were Joined in marriage by a Mr. Ligara as she believes a Justice of the Peace.

She further states that when they were married they lived on Kings Creek near Kings Mountain. She further states that there is no person living that she knows of & who saw them married. And if any of them should be living they are in parts of the Country unknown to her.

She further States that her husband the aforesaid Thomas Ragin died in the said county of Clinton on the twenty fifth day of July eighteen hundred and thirty eight and that she has remained ever since and now is the widow of the said Thomas Ragin as ? ? fully appear by appearance? to ? wife ? him to announce ?
