                                Personally appeared in open court Resin Ragin and Mordicai McKinsey and Katharine McKinsey all residents of the County of Clinton and State aforesaid __?__ after first having been duly sworn in open court according to law. -- The said Reasin Ragan Deposeth and Saith that he was born on the 7th day of July Seventeen hundred and Seventy Seven, as he is informed by his parents in the State of South Carolina -- Newbury District,

And that from his earliest recollection he has recognized Thomas Ragin, Dec'd and Hannah Ragin -- who has made and subscribed the foregoing declaration -- as his father & mother that they lived together as husband and wife up to the day specified in the forgoing declaration he further Says that the said Thomas Ragin and Hannah have lived the most of the time with him for the last thirty years and that they have always been reputed as husband and wife, And he has no doubt and verily believes they were Joined in marriage at the time and place stated by his mother in the foregoing declaration.

he further states that Thomas Ragin died on the day mentioned in the declaration in this deponents house where he then lived and that Hannah Ragan his mother who has made the forgoing declaration has lived with him ever since & now lives with him and he is now and has been ever since the death of said Thomas Ragan Dec'd and he further states that the said Thomas Ragan was pensioned as stated by the foregoing declaration and further saith not.

And the said Mordicai McKinsey Deposeth and Saith that he has been intimately acquainted with Hannah Ragin and Thomas Ragin dec'd for thirty five or forty years last past. That he has always heard them reputed as man & wife and verily believes they were Husband & wife that the said Thomas Ragan dec'd a pensioner as stated and died in said county on the day specified, And that Hannah Ragan who has in his presence made and subscribed the foregoing declaration by her mark is now and has been ever since the death of the said Thomas Ragan his widow and that she now lives with Reasin Ragin in this county and State aforesaid.

And the said Katherine McKinsey on her oath Deposeth that she has known Hannah Ragin and Thomas Ragin ever since she was capable of knowing any person and that she __?__ has __?__ that the said Thomas Ragan dec'd and the said Hannah Regin who has made and subscribed the forgoing declaration in her presence were always reputed as husband and wife and that she verily believes they were legally married. And the said Hannah is now the Widow of the said Thomas Ragin Dec'd and lives in the said county of Clinton with her son Reasin

and further Deponents say not
