(Personal note of Marlyce) Duane was one of the nicest men I ever met. On my wedding day I met him for the first time in the receiving line. He told me I was not his daughter-in-law, but his daughter. No matter what ever happen with Jim and I, I would always be his daughter. I latter saw that was exactly how he treated Rick's first wife. After I started riding motorcycles and had joined a club (Tri-Valley Touring Riders), I met Cliff and Char Hodges--Cliff and Duane had worked together at LAPD, and he has shared wonderful stories with me--including telling me what a wonderful and knowledgable person he was.
