This is an ongoing work in progress. I will gladly answer all emails and welcome suggestions, corrections, etc. I spend many waking hours (as well as having them invade my dreams) on this project and want it as correct as possible. I only ask if you use any of my work that you PLEASE give me the credit. Please don't say in any work that information comes from a family Bible that you either don't have in your possession, or have personally seen.

Since the program only allows a certain number of names to be uploaded, the tree information is only direct lines of myself and my brother Ted and my 1/2 brother Alex. Since this information would exclude uncles, aunts, counsins, etc of these family lines, they have been included in chapters of my book. Be sure to click that link before leaving.

GEDCOM FILE: There is also a gedcom link. Looking at this can be confusing if you have never seen one before. There are instructions, but basically if you double click a person it will give you info on that person. If you right click a person it gives a small menu and you can make that person the primary, from there you can then move to their family tree seeing their ancestors and desendants. Keep changing the primary person til you can see what you are looking for.

I started with Silcock (my maiden name), Sykes (the name my brother and I were raised with, as well as the surname of my youngest brother), Johnson, Wimple, and Hall (my first married name). It has branched out into several names that are more than my tired fingers can type into this screen. I can tell you that my family was primarily from Missouri, Michigan, Kansas.

I have multiple sources for all of my information. This is the main reason for my research taking so long, as I do not take anything I find without finding more sources to back up the information. Even census records have had discrepancies in their information.

Primary projects right now are:

Rev. Charles William Wimple that appeared in Missouri in the 1890 tax records and several census records after that. He supposedly was born in Pennsylvania in 1859, however, I can not locate him prior to 1890.

Elenora MaryJane Rogers. No drivers license, social security card or records other than personal knowledge from one of her sons that is still living today.

Mazgai from Michigan. Julia Mazgai married Theodore Thomas Silcock, their son Thomas Theodore Silcock is my father. Julia Mazgai was the first born to Anna Socha that arrived in the U.S. in 1906 with her sister-in-law and 11 mo. old nephew. I would like to find Mazgaj (original spelling) and Socha prior to arrival in the United States.

Luther Colton, seems to have come from nowhere into Kansas and then left again. However, I have traced him across the United States and he seems to have left kids in more than one state (as well as wives?).
