This photo, taken in 1948, is of Lessie Hallford [wife of Earl Vernon, son of Nathan Edgar, son of William W.] I consider this photograph to be a classic image of the depression-era life she led, following her husband Pete from one labor camp to another and caring for her five sons as she went.
