My research includes the Ladd family, originally Quakers from tidewater VA who moved to Jefferson Co, Ohio married into the Wood and Smith families from northern MD and Chester, Co, PA, then to Iowa; the Reed family, Scots-Irish from PA and Jefferson Co, Ohio; Cooks from Central NJ, originally van der Koeck from New Amsterdam; Engle and other Quaker families from Burlington Co. NJ; Hamiltons from Tompkins and Tioga Counties NY, PA and possibly NJ; and Lennons who went from Ireland to Iowa. Right now I am concentrating on the Pennsylvania origins of the Scots-Irish Robert and Jane Sankey Reed family who possibly came from Centre/Mifflin County, PA, to Steubenville, Jefferson County, Ohio
