?, W., Ben, Tho., James. The ? is probably John becaus he shows up again on the 1830 census. The printed edition has:

Thomas is 60-70 yrs. which would have him born between 1760-1770. His wife was between 50-60yrs. making her born between 1770-1780. 1 F (15-20) listed (Amanda would have been about 17).

John, Merrit and Levi are all listed together - should be Thomas's sons; John has an extra M & extra F listed with him, possibly siblings??

Thomas is 70-80 and listed alone

Merit Hamilton 30-40 1F 30-40 2M & 6F children



1850 Census confuses everything even more because there is a Thomas Hamilton age 90 born in SC living with a Jas. Hamilton age 49 born in Tenn. Our Thomas Hamilton died in January 1850. So where did this Thomas Hamilton suddenly appear from. - (I found another researcher working on this family)
