Descendants of Thomas Hamilton of Adair Co. Kentucky

Generation No. 2

2. DAVID2 HAMILTON (THOMAS1) was born Bet. 1794 - 1798 in Probably Green Co. Kentucky, and died Bef. 1850. He married UNKNOWN.

Notes for D
AVID HAMILTON:
According to the legal proceedings which took place in May 1850 after the death of Thomas Hamilton it states:
Preston Hamilton and Anderson Hamilton heirs at large of David Hamilton dec'd. Said David being a son and heir of said Thomas Hamilton dec'd.

A list of property given by Thomas Hamilton to his son David Hamilton Dec. 26, 1818
      To one mare at             $100.00
      one saddle & bridle            17.75
      one bed and furniture      20.00
                        $127.75

From the Adair Co. Kty.census of 1810 & 1820 along with the birth dates of the other children I figure either David or Jesse was born about 1794 and the other one about 1798.

Children of D
AVID HAMILTON and UNKNOWN are:
  i.   PRESTON3 HAMILTON.
  ii.   ANDERSON HAMILTON.

3. JESSE2 HAMILTON (THOMAS1) was born Bet. 1794 - 1798, and died Bef. 1850. He married UNKNOWN.

Notes for J
ESSE HAMILTON:
The only information that I have on Jesse is from the legal proceedings following the death of Thomas Hamilton. Dated May 9, 1850
And the unknown heirs of Jesse Hamilton dec'd who was also a son & heir at large of said Thomaz Hamilton dec'd -- Who are nonresidents of this State.
Oct.17,1851 signed by Merit Hamilton he has Jesse's heirs as follows:
Mary Anne Stone and -------- Stone her husband, and Lucinda Wilhite and ------- Wilhite her husband, Presley Hamilton and Thomas Hamilton, children & heirs at law of Jesse Hamilton dec'd.
A List of property given by Thomas Hamilton to his son Jesse Hamilton Dec. 26, 1818
to one mare and saddle            $118.00
      one bed and furniture            20.00
                              $138.00
One Hundred dollars in cash            $100.00

From the Adair Co. Kty. census 1810 & 1820 David and Jesse, one was born about 1794 and the other between 1795-1804. From the other children's birth years I would estimate about 1798.

Obituary:
Hamilton -- At the residence of his son, on Sunday, March 26th, 1882, Mr. Levi Hamilton, aged eighty years and four days.
Grandpa Hamilton was buried the following day from the Presbyterian Church, a member of which organization he had been for many long years. His son S.H. living in Lawrence, Kansas, was present. The old gentleman had gradually failed in health and strength since his much loved helpmate died, and he seemed to be impatiently waiting for that dissolution from earthly cares and suffering which would once more unite them. He was loved and respected by all who knew him, and died as we all hope to -- at a ripe old age, conscious of having lived a long life of usefulness and confident of reaping a rich harvest in the land above.
