6. MERRITT² HAMILTON (THOMAS¹) was born Abt. 1803 in Probably Adair Co. Kentucky, and died Aft. 1850. He married SUSAN BARCARY MUSSER October 16, 1823 in Adair Co. Kentucky, daughter of ADAM MUSSER and BARBARY. She was born Abt. 1804 in Kentucky.

Two possible children for Jackson are 1)James who was mentioned in the several deed transactions. 2) Cleopatra who was in the Adair Co. Marriage records married to Samuel Tresenriter in 1855 and Jackson Hamilton was the bondsman.

7. JOHN² HAMILTON (THOMAS¹) was born Abt. 1805 in Adair Co. Kentucky. He married POSSIBLY SABRINA BRIMBERRY OR BRAMBERRY January 10, 1827 in Adair Co. Kentucky.

Notes for JOHN HAMILTON:
Adair Co. Kentucky records have 3 possible marriages for John Hamilton Elizabeth or Betsy Porter 1816 (a little early) , Sabrina Brimberry or Bramberry (my choice) 1827, or Letty Wilson 1837 (only if it was a 2nd marriage for him).
I believe Sabrina Bramberry is the most likely wife of our John Hamilton. They were married on Jan. 10, 1827 and on Jan. 6, 1827 Thomas Hamilton gave his son John the following list of property :

The 1830 census of Adair Co. had a John Hamilton listed with a child 0-5 yr. old on the same page with Levi and Merritt which would also make it more likely that Sabriana was his wife.

8. NANCY JANE² HAMILTON (THOMAS¹) was born April 1, 1809 in Adair Co. Kentucky, and died July 23, 1879 in Portland, Adiar Co. Kentucky. She married HENRY CALDWELL July 19, 1827 in Adair Co. Kentucky, son of BEVERLY CALDWELL and PHOEBE HATCHER. He was born Abt. 1805 in Adair Co. Kentucky, and died Abt. 1852 in Adair Co. Kentucky.
