I am searching both the HANDLEY and HARDMAN Families. HANDLEY Family surnames: ASH, BELL, BISSELL, BRACE, CARMAN, CASAD, CLARK, CLEARWATER, CROSKEY, DAVIS, DILLARD, DOWNING, DUKE, DYE, ENOCH, EWING, FITZSIMMONS, FRAZER, LONG, HADDEN, HADDON, HANDLEY, HITT, HURLBURT, KING, LANCY, LONG, McWILLIAMS, MARSHALL, MASTIN, MIDDAGH, MIDDAUGH, MILLS, NIXON, PARRISH, RIPPEY, SEXTON, STONE, TAYLOR, WATERS, WEAVER, and WEEKS.
The Handley family I am researching originated in Virginia, migrated to Ohio and then on to the Missouri/Kansas area. The farthest back I can go is: William Handley b: July 30, 1747 in Virginia d: November 19, 1822 in Harrison Co., Ohio whom married Mary Bissell b: March 04, 1753 in Virginia d: November 18, 1820 in Harrison Co., Ohio m: Abt. 1770
HARDMAN Family Surnames : BALL, BARR, BEALL, BEATTY, BOAR(BOOR), BOESCH, CROW, BOONE, BOYNTON, BROOKS, BURDETT, BURDETTE, CUNNINGHAM, DERX, DUNTON, EASTMAN, EISENHOWSER, FILLMORE, FREDERICK, GOFF, HARDMAN, HARTMANN, HAUSER, HUPFELD, KIMBALL, LIPON, OLDS, OLES, OULDS, RIDDLE, ROOKE, SERVATIUS, SCOTT, SMITH, TRENKLER VANDAL, VANDALE, WELSH, WEHAW, WHENERY, WHITNEY, WILLENI, WOLD, WOOD, and many, many more.
The HARDMAN Family has a good start. I can trace back to the 1600's with GALLUS HARTMANN and up to the present with a direct line all the way through. I am looking for information prior to GALLUS HARTMANN who is from Germany.
I am having problems on the Dunton line of my Family Tree and have hit an early roadblock: The DUNTON lineage I am working on originates from England (my grandmother, now deceased, had, at one time inherited a castle and there are supposed to be lines to the Duke of Windsor).
The farthest back I can trace is to LEVI GEORGE DUNTON b: 1800's who married MARY JANE SMITH. The had at least one son (although family my grandmother claimed he was the 7th son of a 7th son), GEORGE ERNEST DUNTON, (my great grandfather) b: 1-28-1875 who married ANNA ELIZABETH DERX. Their children were EOLA EVELYN DUNTON and KENNETH LEVERN DUNTON.
I am happy to share what I have!! PLEASE NOTE: My GOFF and RIDDLE LINES have become so large that it takes too long to upload as reports to this page. If you are looking for GOFF/RIDDLE information, please E-mail me and I will see what I can do. I am happy to share my files in the GEDCOM format.
