Jeremiah Dowling was born in 1796 and died on 29th March 1874. One of his sons Stephen J.P. Dowling was High Sheriff of Limerick,Ireland, and sat on the old Limerick Corporation for a number of years.He was born in 1838 and died 7th Dec 1905. Ellen Nellie Dowling was born 30th Nov. 1908 and died 6 May 1991. She was housekeeper to Douglas Hyde who was the first President of Ireland. I am just starting this page and will update it shortly. I would appreciate any information that anyone might have on any of The Dowlings from Limerick, - Cappa Kilrush Ireland. |
