The original HANDIBOE's came from IRELAND via Canada they settled in Columbus, Ohio in the early 1830's.

I have just sent away 5/30/05 for the Union pension records which will take @ 3 mos. which may give me the verification. I rec'd Henry's "War of the Rebellion penions request today- & the original req., was denied. However he did receive an HONORABLE DISCHARGE. Today is July 6th, 2005. It did not include the info I wanted about Margaret. Unfortunaly I had the wrong dod for Henry- the correct dod is after 1893. He was age 57 in 1892 according to his own signature. According to a responce I received from a "posting" at ancestry Henry LARMAN died March 4, 1896- he froze to death in DC- Takoma Park area- according to Washington Post.Funeral services were held at the residence of a John NALLEY. The pallbearers were his sons-in-law< gave no name's.
Today I RECEIVED' (Sept.., 22, 2005) The CORRECT maiden name of Margaret Ann LARMAN it was KIRBY- they married in Marshall, MD on July 2, 1856.
There are SEMMIG'S in Germany who wish anyone with relevant info to contact them >SEMMIG researcher's SO- for people who R doing that name to be "perhap's informed of this.
