I am attempting to complete the work done by my grandfather, Dallas Harvey and his uncle Walter Harvey on the tracing of our Harvey ancestors. I am quite fortunate to have a fairly accurate chart prepared by Walter which links our present generation back to Harvey living in and around Taunton & Boston MA in the 1640s.
I have used "The Harvey Book" by Oscar Jewell Harvey and "The History of Sutton, NH" by Augusta Harvey Worthen to verify Walter's chart. I have visited the Harvey Homestead in North Sutton NH several times and met with an important Harvey researcher and restorer, Robert Bristol.
I was also able to visit Ashill, Somerset, UK in the fall of 2007 and to photograph that beautiful village, its church and surrounding cemetery. Ashill has not changed much in 400 years as described by OJ Harvey p. 21 - "...Ashill contained one church, 55 houses, and 320 inhabitants."
