| My goal with the Hartsook Ball Family Genealogy Home Page, is to share and exchange creditable accurate information regarding the people in my family. To share and exchanged information on the lines I have not completed my research on. All originated from the east coast, slowly moving westward, with the common factor, one or more of their decendents ended up in Oregon. Surnames include HARTSOCK, HARTSOOK, PAYTON, PEYTON, NEELY and PALMER. These families were mainly from Virginia, Tennessee and Kentucky, dating from about 1760 forward. Most stayed in the area, but a few ventured west. BALL, SLOPER, CROUSE, BEALL, STOCKTON, CHANEY, SHERMAN and TRUMBULL. With the Ball and Crouse lines starting in about the mid to late 1600's. These Families were also from the east coast, mainly from Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, New York and Virginia, again moving westward toward Ohio, Iowa, Illinois, Kansas and Missouri. Again, some brave ones, traveled the distance on to Oregon. There are over than 2,000 additional surnames, of extended family not mentioned above, but have been researched and are in my tree. I have researched all families, and have documented and included any and all information gathered, from census reports to obituraries, Newspaper clippings, to family Bibles, Revolutionary War to Civil War Records, and archived records. Any information found has been posted to the individual. As more information is gathered, I will update. Please let me know if the information has been of any help. |
