The "FONT" Family

I am researching my paternal side. I am the first born daughter of H.L. Font (Herkie). My Grandfather was Benjamin Salvador, GGrandfather: George Franklin, GGGrandfather: Benedict Joseph. The 2 Brothers came from Barcelona, Cataluna, Spain. Father to them was: Jose Font y Bosch. Apparently, the brothers Salvador Joseph and Frederick Font went to Havana, Cuba about 1830-1840, where Benedict Joseph was born, and then on to New Orleans, Louisiana, where they opened a shipping/mercantile business. I believe that Frederick may have gone to S. America or Puerto Rico. I heard through the grapevine that we had a "land grant" from the King of Spain and a Spanish fort was built on the land...but, not sure where. We have a lot of history around St. Port Vincent, Louisiana/Livingston Parish. If anyone has information...PLEASE...contact me. I would pay ALL postage if anyone has original documents or pictures. I would return them in excellant shape and in a timely manner. What I plan to do is scan all documents into the computer and create a Book for the Font families.... If you are interested...I would love the input!!!
