I am particularly interested in the Shennandoah, Rockingham, Page and Fredeick Counties. Most of the Harbaughs began with Yost in Harbaugh Valley, Frederick County, Maryland. But, there is evidence that others came from Europe, probably Germany, and went to Virginia.The Mericas are more difficult to locate. Some documents in early Rockingham County spell the name America,Markey, Murkey and Merkey. Any and all information relating to Harbaugh and Mericas from whereever will be appreciated.
