Was the Forefather of Hale Co., AL Tidmores He filed on 2 tracts of land in what is now Jefferson Co., AL(Disposition of Public Lands - Jefferson Co., AL Vol. 2, p. 715 He made the trip across GA to new territory of AL, Blount Co., on 5-13-1819 in a wagon train. John & Nancy migrated and settled in what is now Hokes Bluff, a few miles East of Gadsden, AL. A large loop in the river is named "Tidmore Bend" after this family.
