Shows in the 1860 Appling Co. Census with Jacob and Arnetta Roberson. Shows in 1870 Appling Co. Census with Anna (hard to read) and is 17 years old which matches with his age. Other children living with him are James 19, Hattie 14 and Retta (loretta probably) 12.

According to Eloise Robinson Ramsey, John B. Roberson joined a company from Florida locating to Seville. His brother-in-law John Tillman Moody drove a team of mules for him. Soon after they arrived, around 1893, John B. Roberson became ill and died. He is believed to be buried in Seville, Florida, but this has not been documented.
