Fannie Lee Calvin was my maternal grandmother. She was born in 1909 in Wilton, Boone County, Missouri and died in 1996 in Hurricane, Utah. This website was designed to share with family, friends and other interested researchers, the genealogy that I have collected over the past few years. I began doing genealogy in about 1995, as a favor to my Grandma. She was looking for information on her grandparents, and I offered to help her. I quickly became hooked on this addictive and rewarding hobby.

I have been delighted over and over again as I find new ancestors and continue to fill in the gaps of my family tree. It has added so much to the understanding of who I am and where I came from.

I have also met many wonderful friends and "cousins" while researching my roots. I have new friends all over the United States that I correspond with through letters and e-mail. It has been a most enjoyable project!

• Daniel Boone ~ our great-great-great....uncle (7 KB)
  Mary Wilcoxson, Fannie's great-great grandmother, was born in Kentucky in 1799. She was raised in Boone County, Missouri - a county named after the great frontiersman, Daniel Boone. Daniel was also Mary's great-great uncle. Both of Mary's parents were from the Boone line. Her father, Isaac, was a descendant of Daniel's sister, Sarah. Her mother, Rebecca White, was descended from Daniel's brother, Samuel. Samuel was married to Sarah Day, a quakeress who taught Daniel how to read and write. The Boone line can be traced back many generations, due to the efforts of numerous Boone researchers.

  David P. Calvin (Father of William H. Calvin) is buried in the Old Salem Cemetery in Reform, Callaway, Missouri. His baby daughter, Lawry Ann Amanda, is buried there also and shares his tombstone. She lived only 16 months.
