I am researching the Krause family line. Albert Krause immigrated to the US from W. Prussia with his wife (Veronica Ringwelski) and 4 children - John (b. 1874), Marianna (b. 1876), Simon(b,1878) and Stephen (b. 1880). They arrived in the New York aboard the Braunschweig in April of 1882. Albert was naturalizedin 1889 in Morrison County, MN. The family is first found in Pike Creek Twp, Morrison County, MN in the 1900 US Federal Census. Albert & Veronica both lived in Morrison County until their deaths in 1927 & 1928. John Krause, my great grandfather, fought in the Spanish American War in US Army 3rd Infantry Company B. He enlisted May 27, 1898 and was Honorably discharged December 27, 1898 at Fort Snelling, MN. |
