Ashe Burns Keen
John & Martha Keen arrived in Boston from South Hampton England in 1638 aboard the Goode Ship Confidence. Early towns for the Keens(Keenes)include Hingham, Marshfield, Pembroke,Duxbury & Plymouth all in Massachusetts. Much research into the Keen line exists because of the connection to Richard Warren, and due to the vast number of descendants. Many Keens fought in both the Revolutionary and Civil Wars. It was Joshua Keen who first moved to Hebron, Maine from Pembroke about 1780. I believe it was his son Joshua who owned the house on Megquier Hill, West Poland, Maine, which still stands today with it's gorgeous view of Tripp Lake. |
