The Herbst/Harpst Heritage

Searching for death date and location for Johann Heinrich Herbst 1748 to about 1821. He died in the area of York ,PA. His children were:Jacob 23 Sept. 1781; Catharina, 5 Dec. 1785; Johann Jacob 28 Jan 1789; Daniel 30 May 1791; John 5 Oct 1793; John Michael and Elizabeth 12 July 1796; George 24-1799; Juliana 4 Oct 1802; Henry 17 Jan. 1805.
Johann was a Hessian solder that was captured and he escaped in 1778 in the York area where he raised a family. I have his family traced three generations in Germany to 1635.

Johann's wife, Catharina, died 3 Nov, 1854 in York in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry (Elizabeth) Kuntz. Their children were:
Maria, Isaac, Edward, Louisa and Sarah
My branch comes from George who later changed Herbst to Harpst in Ohio where he finally came to Findlay.
