I'm Dale Hart Jr. Born 1951 in Chicago but spent all my school years in Griffith Indiana.

Grandmother Alice (Netzer) Hart Rossi, my dad's mom, has lived in Indiana for over 70 years, and is still doing fine at 96 years old as of June 2006, she was born in Grafton, WV in 1910. She had 6 brothers and sisters: Lee, Charles (Junior), Jacob, George, Mary Jane, Juanita.
My great grandma Lee (Smith) Hart was born in Old Fields, WV in 1888, was Married to Eugene Newman or Neuman.? but he died in 1908 6 weeks before grandpa was born and great grandma Lee remaried a man named Hart and the name Hart started in our family..?? Some say that ggm Lee lived in Cumberland and in Ohio too so they moved around and she was married at least 3 times and after ggm died mom found a lock of hair and a note saying it was her son's Bernard..?? and he died at 4 years old.? But for sure she lived in East Chicago for many years till her death May 13 1969. She ran a boarding house there on Penn. street
Know nothing about Eugene yet, please help. Great grandma Lee also had a brother name of Jim Smith married to Emma in Ridgeley WV - he was old when I met him once and he worked at the town dump in the mid 60's.??
Great grandma Lee had 2 sisters, Hazel and Maggie and brothers were, Homer, Jim. The story goes...that Hazel was pregnant and expecting her 11th child when she was shot and killed by her son in law.? and that she lived in Kaizer WV.?? Or may have been in Ohio
Mom's people were from Chicago and Portage Wisconsin area. The Cease's and French's in Wis. her mom was born Florence Cease, Oct 7th 1903. Florenece's mom was Melvina French and she married (July 25 1898) Parker Theodore Cease. Mom's dad was Samuel LeRoy Ennis from Chicago.? Mom had a dozen sisters and brothers, the "Buttice" and "Pizzamiglio" family from Chicago and others.
Just learned that grandma Alice's father, Charles N. Netzer had 2 sisters, Mary and Belle who married the Cottrill brothers and beleive they were from West Union, WV in Doddridge county. Belle married James Cottrill. I have a picture of there headstone now thanks to Butch and Sandy Tritt - Praise the Lord Jesus..!!
