This is my first attempt at making a web page. Bear with me as I make the multitudes of mistakes that every first time web designer certainly makes. I started on the quest for my history as a young boy. I would listen to my grandparents tell me of the deep snows and how their grandparents made the treck from New England and New Jersey to Michigan.
All the old folks in the family have gone on now and I think that it is time that someone puts to written words the stories and history that has been passed down from generation to generation by word of mouth.
Luckily, some of my ancesters were very well known so looking them up wasn't that difficult. However, I find that some of them weren't so well known and have come across some "Brick walls". One of my "bricks" is Joseph HERRIMAN, b NJ 1780, d MI 1863. He is my 3rd ggrandfather. Sure would like to find his parents!
Hopefully someone will be looking for the same surnames as I and we can make a connection. Maybe some of the information that I have will, in kind, help some other person find who they are looking for.
Dan
