I have been compiling my family history for the last 15 years picking up from initial work done by my paternal grandmother and my mother. To date I have compiled over 2200 individuals dating from 1550. Surnames in my ancestry include Hart, Rohrer, Parish, Vance, Middleton, Vauthier, Selwinder, Bruce, Cochran, Curry, Peters, Hague, Williams, Rogers, and Whittington. Eugene Rohrer and the Order of Redmen (318 KB) Eugene was a member of Lakota #13 council of the Improved Order of Redmen. Photo circa 1921 in Wallace, Idaho. Eugene is the "chief" in white garb. The fraternity, patterned after the great Iroquois Confederacy, dates back to 1765 and was originally known as the Sons of Liberty. Hugh and Bertha Vance. Fireplace at Gutzon Borglum Mt. Rushmore Studio (591 KB) The fireplace was constructed by my great-grandfather Thomas Jefferson Parish and three of my grand-uncles circa 1927. Their names are engraved on the plaque commemorating the workers who built the Mount Rushmore monument in South Dakota. TJ Parish is at bottom right in upper photo, Borglum is upper left, and uncles on upper right and lower left. Lower photo was taken in 2008. Dan Hart on Mt.
