Researching these names: Huffman, Sargeant, Stevens, Hart
I didn't know much about my father, Howard Huffman until my aunt told me where I could find him. I was adopted when I was about five or six years old along with my sister and two brothers. We stayed in the family: my mother Donna Sargeant let her brother adopt all four of us kids.
When I married, my husband's mother moved to Alabama. That's when my aunt pointed out where my father lives. On a visit to Alabama I looked up my dad. I found him, and oh what a surprise I gave my dad. I found out I had two more sisters, and the rest is history.
My husband and I were married on the same day as my Uncle Perry and Aunt Florance (Stevens) Sargent. Uncle Perry was my grandfather Wilbert Sargeant's brother.
Many thanks goes out to Richard Stevens, my cousin for supplying most of the information on the Stevens family, as well as my Aunt Sib (Sargeant) Dobson and Jim Sargent for the Sargeant family. Without them I could not have put this together. Many thanks goes out to Bonnie Warner and Tammy Hart for the information on the Huffman family. Thank you Uncle David for all the pictures of dad
I will be adding information often so please check back to see what's new.
We don't have much information on my husband's side of the family. As with me, he didn't know his father either. I have tried to find information, but was unable to find it. If anyone has any information on Edmund Hart born: April 17, 1920, parents Edmund J. and Josephine (Walker) Hart. Please let us know.
To the best of my knowledge, the family information is correct. If you find any errors please email me and I will correct the mistakes.
