| I am currently, researching the PIERCE/PEIRCE line. as far as we have have been able to trace is to Humphrey PIERCE of Salem MA. who married Martha PROCTOR on Oct. 01,1716 . Here we have hit a brock wall for many years. I am also reseaching the MANSFIELD line from Essex, Salem MA. The BURSTEAD line AND THE BROOKHOUSE line. We have come to a brick wall on the PIERCE line and do not know who our ascestrial immigrant is , some Say Daniel, related to Thomas and William . John, after many years of trying to get the patient for the colonist, finially gave it to Christopher Jones. They were from wealthy Boston merchants ownend lots of ships and did a great deal of trading. They also had the Virginia co. out west.
