On October 12, 1951 Charles Allan Hughes was born, the only son of Thomas F. Hughes, Jr., and Deloris C. Hicks, in Columbus, Ohio, He was Baptized in the presence of his Godfather, Charles E. Gibson, as an infant at Centenary Methodist Church.He attended Sunday School and became a member of Mt. Vernon Avenue., AME Church at an early age
He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America, receiving the Life Award, He attended Beatty Park School, Roosevelt Junior High and South High School.
During these years he participated and excelled in all sports.He attended Central State University, Majoring in Business Administration.He earned a Bachelor Degree in Marketing/Accounting in August 1974.Chuck was employed by Sears Department Store as a Marketing Representative.
Chuck touched the live of many through his sharing and loving, he had a deep
devotion for his family, and he will be sadly missed by all and never forgotten.His live was snuffed out like a candle.

!Reflections of a mother, after the services and the weather on April 13, the sun was shinning and when we exited the Church and the Pallbearers were taking Charles down the steps and proceeded to put him in Hearst, a large black cloud appeared and the wind was high, blowing and they could barely get him in, and it disappeared as quickly as it appeared.A calm come over me and I had never seen anything like this again.Seeing the Cloud coming low from the northeast.I know now he was lifted up to the bosom of Christ and taken away.[My ChattersFordMiller6.Families.FTW]
