| My family migrated to the United States in the 1800s from England. I dont know where they were before that. My father, Gray Harman was the only one with the family name, having no uncles or greatuncles with offspring and no other relatives known to him.Duckett Harman was a Col. in either the Irish Army or the US Army. The family came to Pennsylvania and later moved to Michigan. Mary Harman died in Philadelphia in 1892. She lived to about 91. My mother (Mildred Pettit) and my father had 6 children and we all had children and four of us have grandchildren, so there are lots of Harmans now. Most of us live in northern Michigan. |
