User Home Pages: The Descendants of William Harding of Saint John, N.B.
William Harding (1745-1818) was a United Empire Loyalist from Newburgh, N.Y. who settled in Saint John in 1783. Legend has the family being of Irish descent (the family crest reads Londonderry) but I have been unable to trace anything prior to Newburgh. I have also begun to delve into my maternal side, namely the descendants of John MacIsaac a Highland Scot who migrated to Southwestern Newfoundland in the 19th century. I would love to hear from anyone mentioned and am willing to share any information that I have. | The Descendants of William Harding of Saint John, N.B. Updated March 5, 2004 |
