7. RUTH² INGRAM (JOHN¹) was born 1786 in Virginia, and died Abt. 1855 in Shelby Co., Illinois. She married ISSAC MIZE January 07, 1809 in Patrick Co., Virginia. He was born 1785 in Patrick Co., Virginia, and died Bef. 1850 in Barron Co., Kentucky.

Ruth filed for divorce in 1838 in Barren County, KY. She said that a great portion of her married life had been in great danger and further states that Isaac had abandoned her for more than 2 years and had been living in open adultery with another woman, etc. She refused to relinguish her dower.

Soon after her divorce from Issac Mize, Ruth moved to Shelby Co., Illinois with her sons Benjamin and Josiah where she died about 1855.

1830 Barren Co., Kentucky Federal Census list 8 sons, and on daughter born between 1820-1825.
Since his daughter, Lucy married Caleb Hall in 1827, the daughter listed in the 1830 Census is Elizabeth Mize who married Andrew Hooper in 1848.
