1. JOHN¹ OGIER was born 15 Mar 1772 in LaFontaine, St Sampsons, Guernsey, CI, France, and died 27 Aug 1821 in Baltimore, Maryland. He married MARIE MOULIN 07 Apr 1798 in St. Peter's Port, Guernsey, England, daughter of JEAN MOULLIN and MARIE RENOUF. She was born 21 Mar 1778 in Saint Andre's Parish - Isle of Guernsey, France, and died 19 Apr 1852 in Baltimore, Maryland.

Notes for JOHN OGIER:
Jean* Ogier came to the United States with his wife and family on the Brig Commerce landing in America, May 23, 1818. According to Aunt India Ogier, he bought a brick house (every brick from England) and a farm on Monument St. and Loney's lane (now Edison Highway). Family records say he was cheated out of his property because he spoke French and did not understand English. Maria, the old family nurse who had lived with the family through three generations, said he disappeared and was not heard of again. India Ogier had a record of his death, August 27, 1821. This may have been a legal pronouncement.
