Notes for Leo George Feichtinger: Member of the Dodge Saddle Club
Beth Crisp Koughan writes, "Yes, Uncle Lee (as he was known to us) was my granfather Lawrence's brother, and in fact he was a favorite of mine." "Uncle Lee (Leo) used to ride with the Dodge Saddle Club whenever Schuyler had a parade, and they'd go right by my grandparents home.... I loved it!! (I was a frustrated little cowgirl at heart) I rem. Aunt Em, Kenneth, Duane, perhaps a couple others. As a kid, I was so impressed with Uncle Lee in his saddle-club attire, blue jeans, white shirt with royal-blue kerchief, sittin' up on his horse ridin' in the parades! He also had a fine sense of humor, if I rem. correctly."
Melissa writes, "Great Grandpa LOVED horses and had very fine ones, including Arabians. He also had quite a collection of parade costumes for the horses, as well as himself, and was always in the local parades."
Grandma would send him to the dump and he'd come back with more than he left with! but their things & the entire farm was always neat as a pin.
