From stories I have heard, he was a little wild & crazy in a fun way. He & Minnie worked hard, but were quite well to do, he owned quite a bit of property, the mill & a couple of businesses. He liked to drink and gamble & won entire farms. He thought automobiles were the greatest invention so he bought one for everyone in the family - they didn't even have roads yet.
