He is survived by the widow, Stella, two sons, Leo, Jr., and Casimir; a daughter, Loretta: three brothers, Anthony, Stanley, and Walter; four sisters, Mrs Martha Niedzielski, Mrs. Pearl Hinschoot, Mrs. Mary Bartkowjak, and Mrs. Lottie Peterson, and three grandchildren, all of South Bend. The body has been taken to the Kaniewaki Funeral Home. Funeral arangements are pending. Funeral Notes: South Bend Tribune; Last rites for Leo Deka, of 529 N. Blaine Avenue, who died Saturday night, will be held at 10 a.m. in St. Hedwige's Catholic Church. Rev. Michael Gadacz, pastor of Holy Family Church, of Gary, Ind., will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. .

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the Kaniewski and Sons Funeral Home. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Hedwig's Catholic Church, Rev. John J. Jakubielski, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Mrs. Deka was a member of the Confraternity of the Holy Rosary, the Apostleship of Prayer, and of Group 21, Daughters of Poland, Polish Women's Alliance. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

He was a mobile operator for the South Bend City Water Works. He was born July 2, 1914, in South Bend, and lived here all his life. He married Josephine VanDeWalle Vance August 19, 1950. She survices, along with two brothers, Michael, of Salem, Ore., and Robert of Ypsilanti, Mich., and two sisters, Helen Nemeth of Jackson, Mich., and Elizabeth A. Fisher, of South Bend. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sat. at the Nemeth Funeral Home (a rosary will be recited Sun. at 7:30 p.m.). Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Matthew's Cathedra l(Rev. James J. Wolf, officiating) . Burial will be in Highland Cemetary. Mr. Tschida was a member of the B.P.O. Elks, 435, Bendix Aviation Post 284 of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars 1167, the 40 and 8 post 249, and the Teamsters Union Local 364.
