| We are researching our family tree. Peggy Deuel Harper's side of the family includes surnames DEUEL, RUMBEL, PRICE, KELLER, KIMBER, BRELSFORD and McNAUGHTON. Several of these lines go back to the colonial days in America; most of these families originated in England. Most arrived in the New England states and gradually moved westward, particularly after the Civil War, to the midwest states. There are still clusters of Deuels in New York, the midwest and Utah, and those are the lines about which I have the most detailed information. We have also entered quite a bit of information from "The Descendants of Richard Kimber" but have not been able to update much since the book was published in 1894. Steve Harper's side of the family includes surnames HARPER, HAGEBUSCH and FICKLEN. The Harpers were from near Atlanta, Georgia, the Hagebusches from the St. Louis, Missouri area and the Ficklens are also from Georgia. We do not yet have information going back before the late 1800s on these families. Of course, we're very willing to share any and all info we have! |
