This picture is of Cannie Cadie Thompson Davis. She was the daughter of John Thomas Thompson, Jr. (November 17, 1859 - January 1, 1927) and Martha Emily Evans (June 29, 1861 - January 3, 1930). Cannie Cadie Thompson Davis was born on April 11, 1886 in Macon County, Russell Hill, Tennessee and died on January 25, 1962 in Nashville Metro General Hospital in Davidson County, Nashville, Tennessee. She was married to Harrison Henry Davis (1875 - 1937). She was the mother of James Ernest Davis (1903 - 1920), Pearlie Ethel Davis Woodard Crowder (1904 - 1980), Ella Myrtle Davis Oldham (1907 - 1978), Cindy E. Davis West (1911 - 1988), and Plumie M. Davis Gregory (1914 - 1969). She was also the beloved grandmother of Willie Mai Woodard Henry (1921 - 2001). She was buried in the Davis Cemetery in Smith County, Tennessee.
