Info: John inherited his father's property in 1597. A Monument to Memory of John Symes in Church of Bishop Hull Greatly renound for wisdon, justice, integrity & sobriety. When war broke out he took the King's side and had to flee to Winterborne, Frampton Cottrell parish in Glouchester when Cromwell confiscated his property. After Cromwell's death, Charles II was crowned King in 1660 and the land was restored to the family. John was an old man and probably to weak to return.
