Alexander Mayhew's will was found in the Allen County Public Library, in the book, Allen County, Kentucky, Wills and Settlements, 1815-1902, by Rabold and Price.

I give to my sons-in-law David Walker and Thomas K. Oxford all my Absher tract of land remaining (about 140 acres) at $3 an acre, divided so Oxford will have advantage of Walker $20 in division. Also to said Walker note I hold him for $20 and all I have given to both Walker and Oxford in any way.
To my son Aron Mayhew and to my son-in-law James Mayhew my home tract where I now live, 117.2 acres at $4 per acre divided equal, and all they have hereto received. To my son William Mayhew and my son-in-law George Colbert all my Harris tract remaining, 120 acres at $2 an acre, and also 100 acres of the Hoop at $1 per acre, and all they have heretofore received.
To my son James Mayhew $210 he is due me for tract of land containing 84 acres, also $50 due me for a tract of 50 acres and all he has heretofore received. To my son-in-law Thomas Kennedy one hundred and .............. dollars due me for tract containing 57 1/2 acres, also 100 acres land lying ............ widow Burris farm at $1 an acre and all he has heretofore received.
To my son Reason A. Mayhew 100 acres of the Hoop Pole land at $1 an acre and $125 due me for land heretofore and all he has heretofore received. To my son Moses Mayhew 100 acres of Hoop Pole land at $1 an acre and $150 he has received from me heretofore. All my personal property is to be sold and divided between my several children herein before named. Son William Mayhew, executor.
