This is my 2nd great-grandfather, William Gudgel, who was in the Civil War. He was in the Confederate States Army, Co. G, 6th Regt., KY Inf. known today as The Orphan Brigade. His wife is Elizabeth (Herndon) Gudgel, my 2nd great-grandmother.
