The Henry Hertzell family arrived at the Port of Philadelphia on November 30, 1750 aboard the ship "Sandwich".From there they emmigrated to Upper Milford Twp. in Lehigh Co., Pennsylvania.

It appears likely that he spent about 7 years as an "indentured servant", a form of temporary slavery to pay for ones passage to America.
