| I have been researching my family tree for a few years now, so there are too many names in the file to list all of them, but here are a few. HARVEY: Arkansas from late 19th century. Alabama and Georgia in mid 19th century. Prior to that, believed to be North Carolina in late 18th century and early 19th. SCOTT: Kentucky from about 1870. Prior to that, family was in Georgia. LAMBERT: Tennessee/Kentucky border area after mid 19th century. Prior unknown. ABSHER: Tennessee/Kentucky border area from early 19th century. Prior unknown. COTTON: Tennessee/Kentucky border area after 1800. Virginia/North Carolina border area from about 1650 to 1790's. DURHAM: Tennessee/Kentucky border area from early 19th century. Northern North Carolina area from early 1700's until then. Would especially appreciate any assistance in identifying the parents of my GGGF, Lytle M. P. Absher, born in 1823 in Allen Co., KY, and died in Sumner Co., TN in 1888 (married to Mahala T. Durham). I have a great deal of info on his descendants and his siblings and their descendants, etc., but have run into a blank on identifying his parents or any of his ancestors. I would appreciate any info that you may have about any of these surnames, and have a great deal of information on some of these plus many other related names that I would be happy to share/exchange.
